Corowa Military Vehicle Rally

Hi All,

Just spent most of the day enjoying the Military Vehicle Rally at Corowa, which is on the New South Wales/Victoria border. This year was the 30th anniversary of the event and was themed in appreciation of the humble Jeep.

Consequently most of the vehicles in attendance were Jeeps. I don't claim to be any sort of an expert on this topic so I'll appologise in advance if I get any details wrong. There a combination of Willys and Ford jeeps, including a few amphibious GPA's and a DUKW. A couple of Jeeps were restored to be SAS or LRDG Jeeps. Both of these had differing sun compasses - used for navigation in the desert. Also in attendance were a Kubelwagen, a war-time VW beetle, a 1938 Skoda sedan thingy and a single M-20 & M-3 armoured scout cars. Unfortunately, no tanks were in attendance this year. :(

I've taken heaps of pictures, stopping short of actually climbing all over and under the vehicles and in the process offending the owners. All the photos are on the highest resolution setting possible(8mpg). I hope to post some of the better photos soon, once I've had a chance to reduce them to a more suitable size. That said, if anyone is interested in any of the pics in the highest resolution, I would be more than happy to email them to you direct.

Matt.

Re:Corowa Military Vehicle Rally - Photos added!

Hello all,

I've now gone through and selected some of the better photos, and hopefully reduced them to a more suitable size for posting on the forum, that Im hoping won't make computers melt-down or cause servers to crash..... :ermm:
I've included about 70 photos of various vehicles from the rally, mostly Jeeps and few others as already mentioned.

Hope you enjoy them.

Matt.
