Saw this on a lucky model email.

The MTS-033 High-strength Precision Push Broaches Machined from tungsten steel, this product features sharp and durable edge. It can be used to remove excessive material or deepen engraved lines on plastic model surfaces. This product includes 5 precision push broaches in sizes of 0.15mm, 0.3mm, 0.5mm, 0.8mm and 1.0mm. The shank diameter is 3.175mm.

Having these handy tools will definitely make your model building process easier and smoother!

Who's first? :hmmm

Interesting, they don't don't look anything like what machinists call broaches but both remove material so I guess the term is OK.

I never heard the term but I'm not a machinist. That's why I clicked it, "wth is a broach?" I was thinking.

Guess it's not much unlike UMM_USA scribers.

Just multiple sizes and a handle.

Broaches are usually for making shaped holes. Thus the term Meng used is incorrect. They look more like jewelers Gravers which I have had for years and are very handy and useful.

I won't need it as I still have these from Mission Models:

Click to read review... not mine.

Regards,

The hook broaches look exactly like the Tamiya scribing tools. I have three of those of different widths and they are good for scribing.
