French Students remember

Really cool seeing this bit of news from home. French students from Normandy came to Canada to read of the 40000 names of Canadians who died liberating them. Especially cool that the first stop was home and with my first Regiment the First Hussars. Good to see Holy Roller repaired and serving as a back drop. It lasted from the storming of the beaches to the end of the war fighting the whole way. Unfortunately in May when I went home for my Moms funeral some A$$Hats did some damage to it. But she's fixed now and looking good.

Neat! Back in the early 2000's, I worked for a French company, and one of my bosses grew up in Normandy area. per her, one of the things did in school was to periodically go and take care of the graves and the beach, keeping it pristine. per he, it was not mandatory, but literally every kid volunteered, always

So, is that Sherman on your to do list?

Regards,
Yes as soon a I can find 2. I have some decals for it which have the markings for the war version and also the markings for the cenotaph version which includes the brass plaques. I'm 99% sure its a Mk III with direct vision but I'm not a Sherman expert. I really should find them and do them. Maybe I could put both together and send to the 1H association for their display one day.
