Just for fun, if you could have just one ONE ONLY kit/model related item for Christmas this year, what would it be ????

I have a few on my list, but this is way out at the top and has been for years:

Rare as a bucket of poo from a rocking horse and I can't get my paws on one !! - Over to you lot.

Ian.

I'm pretty sure I had that kit as a teen!

This would be mine

This was the first model I ever built. I got it as an Easter present when I was 5. I finally identified it a year or so ago when I was reading a book on Aurora.

I've been looking every once and a while, but no joy.

Regards,

Good question.

I need to pull the trigger on mine.

I think I've gotten to the point with resin I can handle this one.

I have managed to obtain most of the ones I have ever wanted.
One that my dad built when I was real small.
A car kit he built when I was 8 or 9. Have that kit all packed away.
A Monogram Deusenberg kit he also built back before I got started building models.
A slew of 1/72 X series lifting bodies (HL10, M2F2/3, X-24 A and B and the early NM-9 flying wing) Also the Rare Planes Bell XFM-1 Airacuda.

The one kit (a garage kit) I have been wanting since the November Fine Scale Modeler has been this:

While I have a line on one, it is making me pause and ponder quite a bit. This is a real rare casting and has been OOP for a while. It is also considered the best figure ever done of the character. :bang head :bang head :bang head

Thanks Saul - then I need to add postage to 'Middle Earth' on top of it (assuming the seller will post it here in the first place), so.... :bang head

At this point I have most everything I want in the stash...but the discontinued Deluxe edition of the Polar Lights Batmobile would be top of my list...

OR! Orange Hobby's Desert Storm 1/700 USS Midway CV-41.

Amazingly I have none, at least in kits that have already been released. For years it was a resin Bv 138 in 1/48 but at this point in life the last thing I want is a large and involved resin kit.

Top of my list is the 1/72 scale C-17.
Which I had hoped would be out by Christmas, no such luck.

:eek:ldguy

I didn't know they were coming out with a 1/72 scale C-17. I want one too.

But the top of my list is one I've always wanted:

Aurora's ancient kit of the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car. That is one I'll never be able to get.

I have it on my list, just didn't pull the trigger.
I am not confident enough to spend that much money and screw it up.
I do have some Anigrand kits - C-140, YC-14, F-108, Martin P4M Mercator.
Now, Kinetic is to have an injected kit coming out.
I have seen computer pictures of the design and parts break down.
It will be a late Christmas present form Cinda.
Frank

I don't think I've ever seen an Anigrand kit built up. Cindy gave me a coin sorter or Christmas and will all the buckets of change around here, I think i can pull the trigger on the XF11. :pilot

I have a good friend that was an instructor of safety and fire control systems for the P-6M in the late 40's and early 50's at Martin In Baltimore. On of the kits that I would like to build would be the 1/72 XB-51 from Anigrand. That would really make his day.

That was a funky looking bomber.

It was either that or the B-52. Again politics won out but this time it wasn't a such bad deal.
