I was really looking forward to this:

and now it is not on the Miniart web page. How often does this happen? I don't think Miniart is going to release it.
 
Regarding figures, some companies commission the box art first, then get a sculptor involved and it doesn't always work out for a variety of reasons.

Trumpeter is infamous for adding things to their catalog when it's just an idea. I think it was nearly three years from the time they announced the 1/48 U-boat to it was an actual kit.

I think it's a case of keeping public interest up. DML was great at it.
