What do you do/listen while you model

So I have lately found my building spirit again and I have also started to listen to some of my favourite albums from back when I was a kid in the 80's
Pink Floyd and Roger waters seem to drift to the top of my listening while I model But I also like to switch on a good military documentary on Youtube while I play with my plastic (Wish I could find some good Audio book military documentaries if any of you know about any lemme know)

I tried listening to some Audiobook SciFi and Fantasy books but that did not work too well for me I got too involved in it. I do also once in a while get a certain british modeling Chef on Skype and that is the most fun building I get

So what do you guys do while modeling?

Pandora. I have several stations I've created and will run the shuffle option to spice things up.

What do I do?

Usually stab myself with an X-acto.

What do I listen to?

Since I signed up for Amazon Prime and found all the free streaming music, I've pretty much revisited everything I used to listen to in my teens: Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Van Halen, etc.

Then I occasionally go completely out of my wheelhouse and listen to Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Elvis. I never listened to that stuff before, it's really cool.

Then there's the disc sets I have of Aretha, Ray, Bird, Coltrane, James Brown so I'm never at a shortage.

I discovered The White Stripes on Amazon, I don't know how I've missed them all these years, very much to my taste.

I listen to myself swear every time I screw up. :tomato

Lately I have been listening to youtube concerts of some of my favorite artists. Mostly calssic rock stuff but I get into some other weird stuff once in awhile.

Like Mike I'll fire up Pandora or Spotify...Usually some Queen or twentyone pilots when I'm needing something more kicking.

As of late though, I listen to podcasts. There are thousands to choose from...I grab some comic book or gaming ones. I imagine Dave if you searched there may be some WWII type ones out there that may be what you're looking for...

For some reason music just sets me off after a short while. :idonno I do like listening to audio books though. If I run an audio book I can get a lot done. Usually I run the TV or play DVD/Blueray movies or TV shows. (probably why I don't build all that fast) If I put on an older show that I have seen already I do tend to just listen and do much better with building.

Not sure if you have an iPhone or Android...But Apple has tons of them to choose from. I recently switched to a Droid phone and use Player FM to listen....Here are a few of various lengths and one from WWI as well...

Silence...I'm half death anyway so why bother. I did listen to Willie's Roadhouse on XM this week, I could get into that more. Really old country though I gotta say, hearing John Denver on "Willie's Roadhouse" just seems wrong.

I keep it simple. I have a playkist stored on my phone of my favorite hits from the 70's and 80's. Artists like Stix, Jethro Tull, Kansas, Boston, Journey, Alan Parsons, and even one from the Charlie Daniel's Band; among many others...

I just plug my phone into a set of speakers my wife got me that not only plays the music but also charges my phone. I found that with my Rock and Roll going; I tend to work faster and more productively. Sometimes I even call long distance with a couple friends as I work.

Hoping you're half DEAF, Pup, rather than the I'm not dead yet or only mostly dead, depending on your choice of film.

My late father in law referred to him as "Pussy" John Denver or PJD for short. :rotf

I think ol Charlie Rich shared the same thoughts.. :drunk :rotf

Depends what I am doing...

Getting creative, air brushing, or making love (yea, TMI) requires smooth Jazz like The Latin Quarter. Mundane such as track & road wheel prep is metal, everything else is my '80 music.
