This is my new project. Guys from Big planes kits sent me this one. There are two schemes, I decided to make Swiss Air ambulance one. Other one is for US Coast Guard.

The Idea is to build entire interior and to show it, I opened the door :)
Here is what ihave for now.

Super job so far Uros. I am intimately acquainted with the medevac Challenger, having been medevaced myself once. The Quebec Government operates one fully equipped, including an onboard premature birth care unit. It also has a gravel kit that allows it to operate off dirt strips. I don't think it has the bulkhead immediately aft of the cabin door, in order to allow a stretcher to be turned 90 degrees and be backed into the cabin. It has a little winch on the wall opposite the entry door, with rails on the airstair door rails that allows the stretcher to be loaded mechanically. If you have any questions about that, I can find out for you. We're both retired now, but the guy that ran that whole show at the Quebec Government is a good friend, we go back to the DC-3 days at the same company, many years ago.

Hi guys! Thank you for your comments!
Jim, I did some research. You are absolutely right about the Quebec Challenger. However, I found some very nice 360 degre pictures of the Swiss one. It's on the Swiss air ambulance site. Here is the link, if someone is interested. Pictures are on the botom of the page.

These pictures show a loading ramp, that's stored to the left of the door. Bulkhead on the right slides back into cabin, so the stretchers can make a turn.
Thank you for keeping an eye out! I apreciate it very much!

Progress pics...
Interior is done. I didn't bother too much with the back of the cabin. Not much can be seen.

Woo!

Such detail.

Uros what is your background, did you work on these type of aircraft? You show an intimate knowledge of subjects that we just don't pick up on google. :notworthy

First class work Uros. (y)

I'm interested in what you used for the lenses also. Wonderful pics of that Swiss machine. Those various medevac interiors were probably done by the same company. There used to be an outfit in Montreal that did all kinds of special interiors like that, Innotech Aviation, but I think it has become part of the IMP Group.

I saw on FB that someone has posted a shot of your DC-6. I should have bookmarked it, just to see if someone has taken credit for your work or not. If that site pops up again, I'll save it and send it along.

Merry Christmas and Happy Modelling in 2018. :)

Thanks guys!

Lenses are made of discs punched out of a beer can and a drop of 5 min epoxy on top. Easy and efective, just make sure you find some shiny cans. :) Eduard also has PE landing and position lights in various shapes and sizes...

MP, I work in a wearhouse and have nothing to do with aviation. Luckily I have friends that do and ocasionaly can help me, but most of my reference material comes from google. Funny, sometimes it's easier to find material for WWI fighter, than a modern airplane.

I wish everybody nice hollidays and a happy new year!
