"Ein Verwundetenabzeichen fur sie."

Our intrepid crew has spent the night in a Polish farmyard. While stowing their kit, one crewman enlists a chopping block to assist him getting things up and stowed correctly. Unfortunately, he steps a little to close to the edge, breaking it off and he takes a tumble. Back on his feet, its off to find the Medical Officer to get his arm checked out and maybe get that Wound Badge for combat with a treacherous Polish chopping block.

Some may remember the Pzkpfw IIC built for the Polish Campaign from a couple of years ago. The crewmen are from Dragon's "Ghost Division" figure set. The building corner was built up as a sheet styrene shell and then had coffee stir sticks added to the wall and roof. The scrap wood and old door are also stir sticks. The chopping block is a piece of PVC pipe covered with Apoxie Scuplt.

I'll have to visit the spares box to find some boxes and/or jerry cans that our unlucky crewman could have been lifting and then fallen against when his step broke.

Officially, no, but it probably has happened in some army, somewhere. I got the idea from an old MASH episode. Frank received a Purple Heart for getting a shell fragment in his eye, an egg shell fragment.

Cheers,
Rich
