What gun is this? What vehicle is this?

Hi there.

I'm thinking about doing conversions to two German vehicles.

#1 is a Schwimwagen with either a 2cm 03 a 3.7cm anti-aircraft gun mounted on it. Which gun do you think it is? Is it a 20mm as the caption says or is it a 3.7cm gun?

#2 is a German 88 flak gun on a halftrack. Is that halftrack an 8 ton one?

That's cool, would love to see that Swimmer with a gun on it. Looks like to me the same gun that's on that AFV halftrack kit.

According to the Trumpeter kit review on PMMS the halftrack was a 12 ton one not an 8 ton one. So much for using a Tamiya 8 ton one for the conversion. Only 10 of these vehicles were built with the 88mm gun on them and they were all used up by 1943.

Its an Sd.Kfz 8 which had a towing capability of 12 tons. The other Tamiya kit is a Famo or Sd.Kfz 9 with a towing capability of 28 tons. But Trumpeter makes a nice kit of the exact vehicle you want to make.
