Hi folks - I need a little help. Anyone know what color German AFV engines were during WW2? I'm researching stuff for my RSO Pak 40. Not sure how visible the engine will be, but sure enough if I do nothing, it'll be out on display! :tomato

For those that don't know what the RSO PaK 40 here's a pic...

Thanks for the help folks.

I believe a grey or metalic grey was most common.

I'm sure it would depend on the manufacturer.

This one is metallic grey, with some rust powder added to the exhaust, Good Luck.

Thanks guys, I was thinking of using something similar to German gray, I think you verified that choice for me.

Hi Mike , I'm plannin on building mime in a late war Germany scene and also want to have an exposed engine .
Flat metal colors , greazzy and dirty .
Remember that the kit seats are from an m113 , research the real ones , I'll check my refs after work today .
