LMTV question

If you made a LMTV and added a refueling package in the bed could it also tow a trailer? Would it tow a trailer mwith maybe Jerry Cans in it?

To be exact, you'd need to know the weight of the packages referred to. I have all the manuals so, which truck (M-number) are you referring to?

Regards,

Regards,

I just got the Trumpeter LMTV M1078 and LMTVT M1082. Looking for a load. Saw the Pro Art US ARMY fueldrums & pump unit which got me thinking. http://www.proartmodels.be/productgallery/product_gal_021.html

But I dont want to waste the trailer. Any thoughts?

Well, after looking at the manuals, it states the payload capacity is 5000 US Tons. It should still be able to tow the trailer. Note that some modifications will be needed to the trailer as Trumpeter not only forgot to include the 'glad hands' but molded it for standing on its own.

Regards,

Thanks Saul. Glad hands should be easy. Will see how much work to make it mate up with the truck.

Not much work to mate up to truck. Here is a schematic:
