here is the black knight when i finished him last July....
And here he is earlier, when i totally botched the body! The pic above ^^^ is after i fixed my mistake.
What happened was i started this by trying to paint the detail first, then I was thinking i could just fill in the black- no good.
I re did it and painted the body in gold enamel and the black was tamiya acrylic - The black began to paste up, you know how acril can be.... I got pissed and stripped the black off again with alcohol and 1000 wet/dry paper WET.
This removed the black, but left it 'burnished' as the pic shows- I liked it so much I took several pics! I almost striped the arms and legs to replicate the mistake, but they and the helm were about 95% done.
So i just switched to Floquil gloss black and tamiya acril. gold- a week later it was done as above.
Sometimes a mistake can be a good thing!
