French Air Force F8F-1B

Sherman 18

Master at Arms
I'll give this a try. Not real sure if I will finish it on time but will give it a try.

HobbyBoss kit 1/48 scale F8F-1B French Air Force. These planes kinda have a beat up appearance when they were in theater. :ro:

Really neat subject! I think I recall some old footage of these strafing around Dien Bein Phu.....that 5th pic down..is that Christian/Phantom II in a covert role??? B) :D

Looking forward to see how you weather this model. They do seem to be pretty beat up looking, so weathering on this aircraft should be more plausible that on other types that were not as old and in such weather conditions.

Cheers,
James

Stuck some stuff together yesterday.

I'm a bit disappointed in the level of detail on the cockpit floor. The engine I was surprised that it is really a blob. I'm thinking of maybe getting some of the quick boost sets for this. :idonno

Quick Boost is ok but if you want DETAL, let's go Vector
