French Foreign Legionnaire, IndoChina COMPLETE!

JamesOLeary

Master at Arms
While going through a box in our storage container, I came across this old Warriors figure of a Legionnaire Bren Gunner. This will be my entry for the French Ribbon for this Campaign.

I rotated the image, but it did not rotate when I posted this. Just turn your head to the side... :)

Cheers,

We're going to to have to come up with some campaign devices you getting all these ribbons. :popcorn

This will be so cool. I wish I could get all the ribbons like that too, but I cannot build or paint fast enough.

Bring it on man!

Well, I decided to finally put this guy together and start painting him while waiting for certain colors to dry on the figures for the vignette I am currently making. As I was painting the helmet cover of the standing guy in the vignette, I decided that the base color would look good as the base color for the shirt of the Legionnaire that is in WWII camouflage.

As I use colors on the figures for the vignette that are compatible with this figure, I will apply them to this figure as well. Since Warriors figures seem to be pretty straight forward and easy to paint, it should not take all that long to have this guy completed.

James

Thanks, Mike.

I have done some more work on this guy. Here are some photos after I applied the camouflage colors to the shirt prior to highlighting.

I think the camo job turned out fairly well. Not bad for something I did in about 15 to 20 minutes.

Here he is after I highlighted the camo shirt. I just dry brushed the shirt with some Iraqi Sand. I think it kind of ruined the finish of the camo paint job. However, it is done now, so I will just have to move on with the rest of the figure.

I made some progress on the figure late last night. I painted the face, helmet, and boots. He is turning out to be a pretty decent figure and I took some pictures of him, but currently I cannot access the gallery to upload the photos. Perhaps I can do so later.

Cheers,
James

Yikes, we lost the gallery. I'll see if I can get it fixed this evening James.

It seems like the gallery is back up and working. Thanks, MP.

Here are the photos of how far I have come with this figure. I still need to paint the weapon and hands and glue them onto the figure. After that will be a small base to display him on.
