Hey it's Stinky!

b_25c_3.jpg

That's the one that came out of our local lake. Went down on D-Day, story goes that the IP was buzzing some sun bathers, the pilot denied that later, he was there when the Navy raised it in 1983. It's sitting in the Wright Hanger at Columbia Metro Airport right now. It's pretty much intact but it needs major work. The current owners have it for sale after making a big show of trying to restore it.

Stinky? Someone spray painted the name on the side and it's suspected it happened after it was recovered because the pilot said there was no name on it when it went in the water. They were not in the habit of naming training birds.
