A month into this build, it's got a staggering number of parts!

I tried to do most painting with the sub assemblies built up, but there's so many of them it's easy to miss things. Anyway, the base colour is Alclad lacquer steel and stainless steel, then chipping medium then, red oxide then chipping medium then interior white (ish) all weathered to my taste...(right or wrong.)

I've been mixing my own shades of "red oxide" with Tamiya XF-7 flat red and Tamiya XF-9 hull red varying the mixes in the hopes of making things look like different factory's supplied pr-painted parts in red primer. The top of the transmission will need a plate or filler to eliminate a seam I missed during building.

I have so much respect for anyone who can dedicate so much time & skill to one project - I'm a 'hummingbird' modeller, I flit from project to project !! - Kudos to you sir ! :notworthy

thanks.... Tanks? I’m totally out of my comfort zone here but having a ball with the kit, I was building a 1/32 Bf 110 G conversion but it drained my mojo, this model has restored my energy!

Thanks guys! It's not so much of a dark side if I imagine I'm building a really big cockpit with red paint instead of green haha
