Eastern Front - Snow scene

The Stug on this base was the first AFV I had made for many years. I decided to show it on a snowy diorama - somewhere on the Eastern Front.

The tree was made first as this was going to be one of the main elements of the finished scene. The photo below shows how the Stug would sit in the snow. The other main element of the dio was to be the single figure which was stooping at the same angle as the tree.

The whole base was given an undercoat of white household emulsion paint

Next some general foliage/vegetation was added

Snow was added over everything and fixed in place using scenic glue and hairspray

At this point the figure was added, and the scene starts to come to life

Meanwhile - this was also happening. Not too much info here as I know there are more qualified people here to advise on this side of things. I do remember adding the whitewash then removing it then adding it again so the photos below may be out of sync a bit.

The Stug was then ready to be put on the base.

The snow thawed out a bit on this one

Thanks for taking a look at this. Any questions are more than welcome.
